By participating in the “Let’s Go Port” Contest you can build, along with your team, a "professional" solar vessel and compete in a fascinating race!

Secondary education schools, as well as higher and other educational institutions, private agencies and professionals of the field, can now be part of this singular event.

The “Let’s Go Port” Contest includes everything that would make young people enthusiastic about the craft of shipbuilding. By combining theory, practice and the racing procedures, the young learn a lot about sustainable technology, in ways systematic yet entertaining and enjoyable, promoting education, co-operation and sportsmanship.

Each team will consist of seven (7) young students, male and female, determined to face this technical challenge. Initially, at school or in cooperation with higher educational institutions, these groups will be offered helping tools such as a specialized educational model and lessons on electrical solar vessels, including the projection of an educational film on how to construct the hulk of a solar vessel. A few months later, after successfully completing certain designated stages of the procedure, the sixteen (16) finalist teams of the semi-finals will compete in the final race, on their own solar vessel!
