In our country, with its remarkable history and rich nautical tradition and heritage, recent years have been notably hard, destroying our productive fabric and leaving us hundreds of kilometers behind other competitors in the global marathon of development and technological advancement.

Owing also to the decision to destroy old, traditional wooden vessels, this country with the enormous cultural and nautical legacy is in danger not only of losing the knowledge of the old generation, but also of bringing about a huge gap of history and progress, as more and more people choose to stop their work in shipbuilding and nautical professions in general.

In this crossroads where we now find ourselves, we must decide to reconnect the new generations with the element that dominated the life of this land for years on end, and also to “forge”, through a series of awakening skills and defined procedures, those young people who will readily devote themselves to the development of new technologies, to the birth of new businessmen and therefore new businesses related to Shipbuilding and Shipping, and also new scientists with the zeal to design innovative products that will support the thriving and revival of Shipbuilding and Engineering in our country.
